July Newsletter
Hello and happy Summer!
I apologize for skipping June. Sometimes, I overthink things which causes me to edit and re-edit for weeks until I just give up and decide to try again later. That's what happened this time.
Yes, I need to work on that.
So, to all my new subscribers who've waited weeks for this: WELCOME!
And, of course, a huge thank-you to those who've been reading and following for years. Your patience is much appreciated!!!
XOXOXOXO
So, as per usual for me, I've been travelling all over the country like a maniac.
"But Debra, you only tour the Midwest!"??
Well, yes, I don't venture outside the Grainbelt for work very much but I travel in my personal life too. In the past month, I've been to both Arizona and Florida for family.
The selfie above was taken in AZ, when I tried Dutch Bros coffee for my first time! (It was delish, but a bit strong for me!)
I'm sorry, but unless I post dates in those locations, I am only available if you'd like to do at least a 12-hour ( or FMTY) arrangement.
However, I did manage to find the time & energy to attend a 4th of July pool party (photo below) for the first time in YEARS.
Unless I'm on the volunteer crew for a fundraiser party or similar, I usually avoid parties because, well..... I'm an introvert and get a ton of anxiety.
I do WANT to make friends but I'm literally afraid of new groups.
That's another thing I'm working on now because hey, it's never too late to try to improve!!
This month is off to a bizarre start with many scheduling/cancel issues in Minnesota this past week.
I had 4 cancellations for one of my dates, 3 of those happening same-day and 2 of them with notice of an hour or less.
So, for my friends there, I'm sorry but I won't return until 2023.
Also, I'm seriously considering requiring deposits of new clients in Minneapolis.
Deposits are a hassle for me which is why I dislike require them, but sometimes it becomes necessary.
In other touring news: I will be visiting Chattanooga, TN for my first time! Yay!
As mentioned in my last newsletter, I will be touring the Carolinas this fall but I still do not have dates or cities. It's fairly safe to say that both Charleston & Charlotte will be included, but please stay tuned for definite info!
(Some portions have been removed for the archived version.)
Thank you! I truly appreciate everyone who reads my newsletter! I hope to see you soon!! xoxoxo
