Happy Groundhog Day!!!
This morning, Western Pennsylvania's famous Punxsutawney Phil reportedly did not see his shadow, thus predicting an early Spring.
My local groundhog, Woodstock Willie of Illinois, forecast the opposite.
What do you think?
The 1993 movie Groundhog Day, starring Bill Murray, is one of my favorites. I have it on in the background as I write this.
Many of the scenes were filmed in Woodstock, IL and I've learned quite a bit of trivia about both the film and the town, over the years.
If you haven't seen it, the gist of the story is the main character becomes stuck in one day (Groundhog Day), reliving it over and over until he gets it right.
There are many days I'd like to take back and get a do-over lol....
How about you? ;-)
So what's new?
To be honest, not a lot. I haven't done any personal traveling lately, nor have I done any real sight-seeing along my work travels. I will be taking a couple personal trips in the next six weeks or so and will be sharing some fun photos and details then!
For those who didn't catch my informal announcement on Twitter:
I'll be taking an extended vacation, or leave of absence, this Spring.
The exact dates haven't yet been determined, but starting sometime around mid-May I'll be unavailable (neither touring nor available in my home area) for approximately 4-6 weeks.
Everything is great, no need to worry, but after a few years of touring full-time? I'd like a break, to simply be at home, spending time with family and friends.
I'm very grateful to be fortunate enough to have that luxury.
It took me far too long to add my most recent photos to my website's Gallery page but I finally did it, so please enjoy!
(This newsletter, like all previous ones, contains pics I haven't yet posted to my site or anywhere else.)
